Autodesk Labs has a CommandComplete Bonus Tool is available for AutoCAD 2008 and AutoCAD 2007.

CommandComplete Bonus Tool for AutoCAD

The command complete tool does exactly what its name implies. As you enter commands on the AutoCAD command line, a pop up displays where you can select items to finish your commands. It saves typing and helps you remember infrequently used commands. In her blog Lynn Allen noted that you start to type, and AutoCAD helps you find the command or system variable you are after. This new bonus tool offers a variety of matches that start with or contain the text you have entered. It displays the setting for your selected system variables as well as provides a brief explanation. You can configure how CommandComplete works in the AutoCAD default menu. This menu displays when no commands are in progress and you right click on the drawing area. You can turn off CommandComplete, control the search process, tell it to ignore system variables, etc.

In its current form, the bonus tool works with the 32-bit version of vanilla AutoCAD 2008 and AutoCAD 2007. Support for vertical applications of AutoCAD, e.g. AutoCAD Architecture, may be considered for a future release. Autodesk Labs in interested in feedback on this tool: Labs.CommandComplete@autodesk.com.

As mentioned in my original article on my own _It’s Alive in the Lab_ blog, “it’s not all tea and crumpets.” We do have a few issues to improve upon as pointed out in the AutoCAD 2008 discussion group. Feedback is what Labs is all about.

I am not sure what your point is. I take the subset of what Autodesk Labs offers that is specific to AutoCAD and share it here.
