Autocad 2007
Modeling has become very easy and exciting press-pull feature, which came with AutoCAD 2007®. In this article, I will try to explain this feature as much as I can.

Fig. 1.
By pressing CTRL+ALT buttons together, if we come inside the surfaces that can form closed surfaces, surface selection mode is activated (Fig.1). EXTRUDE command is activated and we are prompted to enter the height value (Fig.2).

Fig. 2
You know that, once we create a 3-D entity, we can easily put 2-D and 3-D entities on the surfaces of this entity (Fig.3).

Fig. 3
Let’s draw a circle with R=25 (Cube is 100×100×100 ) as seen in Fig.3. Now, let’s go inside this circle with mouse by pressing CTRL+ALT buttons together.

Fig. 4
As seen in Fig.4, the surface you come inside is highlighted immediately. You will see that other surfaces are also highlighted when you come to other locations on the cube. When you choose a surface, you will notice that it can be extruded perpendicular to its plane (Fig.5).

Fig. 5
In such operations, interaction between the main entity and the new created entity is assumed as SUBTRACT. Final resultant model is like Fig.6.

Fig. 6
We are waiting your example models. Do not hesitate to share and ask about your works.

I would just like to know what to do to get rid of the original object when I use the “Prespull” command.
Let’s say that I draw a regular 2D circle, then I use the “Presspull” command to make it solid. Once I move the solid I created, which is now a cylinder, the regular 2D circle still remains. I need to know what to do so I can turn that off, because I don’t want the regular 2D objects to remain.
If anyone knows how to fix that problem, please post it on this website, that would be a lot of help for me.
Thank you.

To save drafting time you can also use predefind libraries of 3D objects (www.herculedesign.com).
