Hello dailyautocad readers,
As I did in my previous articles, I will explain about another command that will provide us speed and efficiency. As you can see in Fig. 1, I took a view from our project. Assignment of layers is as follows; Wall : blue, plaster : white, Column: green and we have to correct them. Anybody who does not know the MATCHPROP command, will select the plaster line and then select the plaster layer from layers list box.

At this stage, here comes the turn for MATCHPROP command. Its alias is “ma”.

Here is the application: Run the MATCHPROP command. First, we select the line that belongs to the layer to be converted to (black, see step 1). Then we finished with layer assignment. Then, we click on the column line (see step. 2) and the line takes all of the properties of the plaster layer.
By using this method, you can assign all the properties of one entity to another object from the same entity.
