Drawing a simple 3D circular stairway

Hi,

I have talked about drawing a 3D straight stairway in my last article. This time I will explain a 3D circular one. Please remember, the way mentioned here is just one method, you can develop your own method.

Firstly, let us form the plan view of the stairs and then transform it to 3D.

Set the view angle to isometric by browsing ‘View<3d views<Sw isometric’.

We assign height to stairs by using EXTURDE command which is 18 units this time. MOVE them over and over starting from the second one.

Move them like the figure above. You can move them a little higher if there is a lap between stairs. To move them, pick the bottom right corner of the one to be moved and select top left corner of the destination object.

    Thanks a lot for your great assist in 3D modeling. Please i would request you to give tips on how you can make a hole in 3D drawing when using AutoCAD 2000 ie drawing a solid box woth through hole on the faces. i’ll be graeful for you respond.
