Drawing a simple 3D straight stairway

Hi,

There are lots of questions about drawing 3D stairways. Let us proceed by overcoming this subject. I have to mention this, this example can be done by those who have some 3D knowledge.

Firstly, let us draw a stair in 2D by forming a 100×27 unit RECTANGLE. After that, switch to isometric view by using VPOINT.

The next step is assigning height to our stair by using ‘SOLIDS/EXTRUDE’ command. (Do not forget that objects should be polylines) Enter 17 unit of height.

Drawing straight stariways is the easiest oen among other ones. Because all stairs are the same and there is no need to draw them again. (It was not mentioned in detail, for instance the thickness of the stair plate was not assigned) Now, replicate the stair as many as you want by using COPY command. It is enough to pick it from the bottom and then from the top. (Please see Orhan’s article about “positioning entities in 3d“)

You can COPY any number of stairs and complete the drawing.
