Fast Artistic Perspective with “3D Navigate CP” in Autocad 2007

Hello,

In this article I will describe how to get artistic perspectives using the“3D Navigate Control Panel” in Autocad 2007. We need a 3D model for this. I will use my 3D Staircase sample. Set it so that you will be seeing the plan view.

Let’s introduce the “3d Navigate Control Panel” from the dashboard. “3d Navigate Control Panel” is actually a control panel that contains what was known as View/3D Views Menu in the earlier versions. Fig.1.

Evet şimdi dashboarddan “3d Navigate Control Panel” i tanıyalım. 3D Navigate CP aslında eskiden View/3D Views menüsünde yeralan komutların daha fazlasını barındıran bir paneldir. (Şekil.1)

I will be giving a detailed explanation about all the features of this panel, so for now, click “Create Camera” button, and create a camera as seen in Fig.2.

Fig.2 Creating a Camera is very easy.

Nothing actually happens after you create a camera, but you can see the camera in the model space. You can even see the “camera preview” window once you click on the camera. This helps find the camera you are looking for especially if there are many in your drawing.

Fig.3 The “camera preview appears on the upper left side of the camera once you click on it.

To go to the view from a chosen camera, from the “3D Navigate CP” select the camera you wish. Now your artistic perspektive is ready.

After getting the perspective you desire, you can play with the settings highlighted in Fig.5 to adjust the lens, camera height etc. It all depends on your taste.

I tried to explain artistic perspective briefly in this article. Bye…
