How to filter selections using the Quick Properties window?

Dear readers,
Using the Quick Properties window that comes with AutoCAD 2009, you can easily filter your selections. All you need to do is, after completing your selection, choose your object group you wish to select from the drop-down menu, uppermost in the window.
