Autocad, Dimensioning, Hints & TipsHow to Create Comment Bubble DIM/LEADER
Hello,
In dimensioning comment bubbles are very important. You can access it by DIM/LEADER command. This command enables you start a comment line from any point and write whatever comment you want to write on it. You can also use QUICKLEADER command. The main difference between those two is: QUICKLEADER writes the comment text as a MTEXT entity at the end of the line, but LEADER writes it over the line as DTEXT.
I hope this small tip will be useful for you.

Hello CCZ,
You first have to enter the DIM command.
The function will ask for the type of dimension you want, enter LEADER for choosing a leader-demension.

I find the new Multileader command more useful than Leader (which I don’t like because I find single line text too time consuming to edit) and Quick Leader. Multileaders don’t lose their associativity even when always left justified. Also, Multileaders can also have blocks instead of text for numbered balloons which we use frequently.

Great site, by the way!

To CCZ,
You should type QLEADER instead of DIM/LEADER.
