Autocad, Customization, How ToCustomizing AutoCAD 2009 Quick Properties window.
AutoCAD 2009 and later
Quick Properties window is one of the new things that comes in with AutoCAD 2009. It allows you to view and edit the properties of the selected object(s). Erhan wrote about this feature.

Fig.1
What shows up in the Quick Properties window has been defined in the main CUI file (ACAD.CUI). we can customize it freely.
As an example, lets add some geometry to the Quick Properties seen on Fig.1. Let’s click on ‘Customize’ from the little menu on the top left corner of the Quick Properties window.

Fig.2
This brings up the ‘Customize User Interface’ window and from the Quick Properties section, shows the list of properties we can add for LINE objects.

Fig.3
Select the properties that you want to see in the Quick properties window when a LINE selected and click ‘OK’. I chose ‘Linetype Scale’ and from ‘Geometry’ I chose ‘Start X’, ‘ Start Y’, ‘End X’, ‘End Y’.
You should by now see all the properties you had chosen in the Quick Properties window whlie drawing.

Fig.4
Because the Quick Properties window is dependent on the selected object type, properties to be shown in this window have to be selected for every object type separately.
