Hi to all,
I have seen Picasa for the first time two years ago when I was browsing Download.com. It is named as the best photo editor program. There was also Adobe Photoshop Elements SE as freeware. I have downloaded and checked both. I have liked Picasa very much and still been using. By chance, I saw that Picasa has been bought by Google (Some may laugh at me) and is being presented freely.
I downloaded Google’ Picasa and tried it. The result is superb. Google makes it even better and faster. I strongly advice you to use it. Picasa, as a photo album program, searches all image files on disk and adds them into its database. So, all editings (red-eye reduction, contrast etc.) you are going to do on the photo is never affect the original one. Also since the photos are not copied, they are not use any space on disk. All is done in database.

You can store your photos on albums, make some editings on them, create different albums, publish them on web or burn them into a CD. For my opinion, whoever has a digital camera must also have Picasa. You can also send photos to your blog by using Picasa. You will get used to it in minutes. Microsoft should learn something from it…
