Looking at the post Inserting multiple blocks by using MINSERT Command, it reminded me of my love of the MINSERT command. I always love elegant solutions, so the idea of repeating the same block insert to create a profile / section grid appeals to me, and is quick useful.

One of the most remarkable innovations of Autocad 2009 is the layer management window. It can be docked at the sides like the properties palette and kept open. That means you can use any command when it is open.
The modifications are updated instantly when you change anything in the new layer management window. Property columns can be freezed or turned on which is similar with the split option of EXCEL (Figure 1).

‘Action Recoder’ is one of the most attractive features of Autocad 2009. Macro recording function of Office programmes is brought to Autocad. This option did not mentioned earlier since the customization and improvement functions of Autocad is very strong and useful. Yet, software developers can not resist to user requests anymore and finally design the Action Recorder.

Main concept
Hello,
Dear Daily AutoCAD readers, previously I wrote an article named as Understanding Scale Concept and Drawing Units, and it includes some fundamental concepts necessary to be known before starting a new drawing in AutoCAD. I was very a popular article, so I decided to write a series of articles to explain these concepts that are essential for beginning a new drawing in AutoCAD. As drawing area, we have two options in AutoCAD. One of them is modelspace and the other one is paperspace Read the rest of this entry »

Hi dear friends,
Many of you want to buy a photo printer and ask me; ‘Which one should I buy?’. And my answer is; ‘Do not buy!’
. Because unit price of printing through them costs more than having it printed. Yet, printing any photo you want is a good feeling. So, I advice you, people still want to buy, to be careful about some issues.
Firstly, I strongly recommend you to buy a thermal printer (DYE SUB) if it is used only for photo printing. Because inkjet printers are a huge trickery and you pay for paper and ink separately. And the result is not as much as a photo. Thermal printers, on the other hand, give us clear prints very close to a photograph. Kodak and Cannon photo printers are eligible since their supply materials are easy to find and a single print of them costs approximately 0.40 USD.

Sometimes, you would like to combine lines or arcs. Or, we notice that the lines that have been drawn in a drawing are made up of pieces. The reason of this is that the draftsman has not made the proper editing over the project . Here is the solution for all these problems, JOIN command. It has a very simple way of working. You select an entity first and then the other entities that will be joined to the first one that you have selected, and that’s it the operation is completed. The one rule is that the selected entities are not identical and they are on the same path. Read the rest of this entry »
