Hints & Tips, How ToTip: Protect Your Drawings With Password
Hello friends,
This is my first article in this site. I want to explain how you can protect your drawings with passwords.
You can prevent others ffrom seeing the content of your drawing file by simply assinging a password. You will see a setp-by-step explanation with images.

Fig.1: Right click the command prompt and open the ‘Options’ window.

Fig.2: Click ‘Security options’ from the ‘Open and Save’ tab.

Fig.3 Enter you new password and confirm it.

Fig.4 You will be asked for a password to Access the drawing from now on.

This is nice, however a password will be better if others could be able to view the drawing but unable to edit it. I think there might be a solution to it.

When I open a password protected file, first time it asks for password and I open the file. When I clse the file and reopen it, it doesn’t ask for password. I think this is a negative point for this kind of protection. What could be the reason for such a odd behavior?
